Melanie D. Patrick is a DTI Certified Birth Doula, CAPPA Labor and Postpartum Doula, Bereavement Doula, Hypnobabies® Hypno-Doula, HypnoBirthing® Hypno-Doula, childbirth educator, and a Certified Hypnobabies® Childbirth Hypnosis Instructor.

She worked as an independent/solo doula for years in New York and Connecticut before again experiencing the feeling of being called to move to North Carolina, partnering with Ashley & Suzanne, and establishing Emerald Doulas. Melanie loves the hands-in-it-all approach to nurturing her business and the doulas who work with her. She helps ensure that the intimate relationship that develops between doulas and the families we support is not lost in her agency’s model but rather flourishes and deepens within the community that is cultivated at Emerald Doulas. She is excited for the additional services Emerald Doulas will soon be providing to the Triangle community!
